If you’ve been around Rancho Mirage for a while, chances are you remember Lord Fletcher’s on Highway 111. And if you’re newer to the desert, this is one piece of local history you’ll want to know about.
The iconic restaurant was purchased in 2025 by brothers Mike and Matt French, along with designer Eric Cheong of Life & Times, and they are now working to bring this longtime Rancho Mirage landmark back to life. 🌴
For decades, Lord Fletcher’s was known for its wonderful old-school English atmosphere and comfort-food classics—including its famous prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, pot roast, sand dabs, and chicken & dumplings.
And, of course, there’s plenty of Old Hollywood history here. 🎙️ Frank Sinatra was a longtime regular and even celebrated his 70th birthday at Lord Fletcher’s in 1985.
I love seeing places that are part of our desert history given a new chapter. ❤️
The restaurant is expected to reopen in 2026, with recent reports pointing toward later in the year. We’re still waiting for the official opening date and details about what will be on the new menu.
